WordPress Websites

Listed below (in alphabetical order) are the sites that Two Miles Solutions, LLC has created for customers in the past using the WordPress content management system.

A1 Lockshop/Gateway Lock and KeyA1Lockshop.com was developed using WordPress and jQuery. With this theme the customer is able to upload images that are featured in their home page rotator as well. The theme uses custom fields and a custom theme options page to allow the site owner to manage the content and functionality on their site.

BIOForGirls.com was created for a non-profit aimed at helping young girls with their self image, it uses basic WordPress with some slight backend customizations.

BlackhawkChurch.com was created for Blackhawk Evangelical Free Church in Madison, WI. This theme uses, WordPress, jQuery, and some custom plugins we built for them. The biggest feature we built for them was a custom plugin to handle all their small group registrations and signup process.

DocJams.com was created for a printer/copier/scanner/multi-function device repair company in Madison, WI that provides great service to their customers. This site was developed because the owner is a graphic designer but not a programmer so he asked me to build a WordPress theme to mimic his existing website but use WordPress so that he would be able to update the content and blog without having to program. Two Miles Solutions, LLC was more than happy to oblige.

EcumenicalHousingCorp.com was created in conjunction with Chapa Design, a Madison, WI based graphic design firm. Chapa Design designed the site and Two Miles Solutions, LLC built a WordPress theme that incorporated jQuery and custom fields to create the rotator image that is displayed at the top of each page.

FaithDeyFitness.com was created for Faith Dey who is a personal trainer in Madison, WI and the surrounding area. She wanted to be able to showcase when and where her group classes met as well as eventually advertise her in home fitness DVD release.

Ganshert.com was created for Ganshert Nursery & Landscapes located in Fitchburg, WI. Before working with Two Miles Solutions, LLC they had a site that they had to manually update and upload files using FTP and they didn’t have the functionality needed to have a blog on their site. Now, they are able to use the intuitive WordPress interface for managing their website and blog.

JModernHairDesign.com was created for a hair stylist based in Madison, WI. She wanted to make sure that her customers could easily find her rates, learn about her, and find her location as easily as possible so we created a simple theme that used a Google Maps plugin to show the Google street view image for her location.

MetroBelievers.com – Pastor Glenn’s Blog/Podcast you will notice that this site shows up on both the WordPress Websites page and my Custom Sites page the reason for this is because at the time of creating this site, WordPress wasn’t the full blown content management system that it is today. It was GREAT for blogging, but the rest of the software still had some catching up to do. So for this site, I built them a custom content management system for part of their site, they used Cushy CMS to edit their page content, then they use WordPress for their blog and podcast.

PhenomenalWomenofWI.com was created for a female business networking group based in Madison, WI. The theme was built to showcase the different members of their group and uses jQuery for some image rotation if they choose to do so.

StrategicRealEstateTeam.com this site was created for a Madison, WI based realtor who has written an eBook for potential customers so his main goal was to drive people to sign up to receive his eBook. He also wanted the site to be a source of information for all home buyers especially in the market as it was in 2009-2011.

TheBodyShopHealthClub.com was created for a gym based in Lemoore, CA. As far as design goes, this is probably the farthest out there site that I have done. They had a logo (the outline of a guy) that they and all their customers loved so we decided to make it front and center on the website. This is a pretty standard WordPress website in terms of the theme and plugins that we used but it was definitely a fun site to define.

It is not every day that you are approached to design/build a website for a man that will become a presidential candidate. The future will only tell how Herman Cain plays into the American political scene, but we had a lot of fun developing his Political Action Committee website for him (the site is no longer active now that the candidacy season is upon us and he is no longer in the race). The site used jQuery for image/text rotation as well as pulled in their Twitter feed, utilized WordPress’s custom post types for different types of news feeds that they wanted to do. Overall it was a great site that we were proud to have created.

YolasCafe.com was created for a great local coffee shop based in Madison, WI. They were looking for a site that showed their unique personality and fully utilized the logo that they had created and people knew them by. They were also in a hard to find location so we were able to use Google Street View to show people where they are located.
